Schmittenhohebahn Employee Awards Presented At Year End Ceremony
Traditionally, the Schmittenhöhebahn ends the financial year with the end-of-year celebration at the August in Zell am See. Long-standing employees were honored and sent off into retirement, and apprentices and operations managers were congratulated on passing their exams. At the same time, everyone is looking forward to the start of the upcoming winter season.
ZELL AM SEE. Every year, the people of Schmittenhöhe look forward to celebrating the end of the year in the cozy atmosphere of the Zeller Augut and to looking back together on a successful year. Dr. Erich Egger, CEO of Schmittenhöhebahn AG, is happy to use this celebration as an opportunity to honor employees for their long-standing loyalty and tireless commitment. Ing. Ingo Dürlinger (Head of the Railways and Slopes Group), Helmut Höber, Wilhelm Brugger, Mario Fischnaller and Georg Pirchner have been supporting the team for 20 years. Albert Mitterer, Günther Gainschnigg, Erwin Lechner and Simone Krätschmer have been with the company for five years longer. The technical director and authorized signatory Ing. Hannes Mayer and Hermann Hofer were honored for 30 years of service.
Herbert Hasenauer, Walter Höller and Alois Ponsold were sent into well-deserved retirement.
New operations managers and internal Schmitten Academy
Markus Lechner and Andreas Koll were congratulated on passing their operations manager examination. The two will now support the Areit Group and the Sonnenalm Group as deputy operations managers.
Laura Schweizerhof, Roman Seifritz, Lukas Buchner and Maximilian Koidl have successfully completed their training as machinists.
The Schmitten Academy is particularly popular with employees. Here, employees have the opportunity to attend in-house training and courses. This way, know-how is pooled and passed on within the company. A total of 13 participants took advantage of the Schmitten Academy's offer last year and 6 more will take advantage of the offer next year.
Female power among apprentices
It is particularly pleasing that more and more women are interested in the apprenticeship as a cable car technician at Schmitten. Three of the six apprentices are currently female, including Kim Fabienne Kabamba, Vanessa Derner and Sandra Wurnitsch. Elias Obermoser and Bernhard Schützenhofer are also in apprenticeship training, and Fabian Brugger successfully completed his apprenticeship this year.
After a successful end to the year, the Schmitten team is looking forward to a snowy winter and to welcoming many satisfied guests to Zell's local mountain.
