Schladming-Dachstein Increases Support For Top Nordic Athletes
The Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association is strengthening its cooperation with successful athletes from the region. The biathlete Tamara Steiner has been supported by Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe for around a year now, and this sponsorship has now been extended for another season. In the future, Ramsau cross-country skier Mika Vermeulen will also start his races with a logo that advertises the Nordic center Ramsau in Schladming-Dachstein. TVB has taken over the sponsorship for the 24-year-old. Vermeulen is currently in impressive form and has already shown good results in the World Cup this year and most recently with an outstanding top 10 place at the Tour de Ski in Val di Fiemme. No Austrian has ever achieved that before him.
“We are able to support two strong athletes and absolute figureheads in Nordic skiing who will carry the Ramsau am Dachstein brand out into the world as an outstanding Nordic center,” says Mathias Schattleitner, Managing Director of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association. “Tamara and Mika are two great ambassadors for our region, both grew up here and now also benefit from the excellent sporting environment around Ramsau. I wish them all the best and good luck for the rest of the season.”

Tamara Steiner is also very happy about the extension of the collaboration: “For me personally, it is a great honor to be able to present my home region in this way. Thanks to the head sponsor and the Ramsau and Schladming-Dachstein logo, I always have the feeling that I am carrying a piece of home with me at the races.”
Her colleague Mika Vermeulen is equally enthusiastic: “It is very challenging as a young athlete to find a suitable sponsor these days. I am extremely happy to now have a partner at home in the Schladming-Dachstein tourism region who is willing to take the future path with me in the long term. I think you are only authentic if you represent your advertising messages appropriately. I always try to do justice to this with my performance on the cross-country ski trails as well as outside of sport.”
