Schladming-Dachstein Bike Region Expanding Range Of Trails

Whether mountain bikers, e-bikers, pleasure bikers or sporty downhillers: The Austrian region of Schladming-Dachstein has long since established itself as an absolute top destination for bike holidaymakers and trail fans. The offer has been massively expanded in recent years and again this year:

• New jump trail, additional enduro trails and extended blue lines on the Reiteralm
• On the Planai, the newly built "Stadium Flowline" leads to the famous finish stadium
• 27 tours for mountain and e-bikes as well as 14 bike hotels attract numerous cyclists to the upper Ennstal in summer

Generous bike offer on the Reiteralm

After further expansion this spring, the Schladminger Reiteralm now offers 17 kilometers of trails for sporty biking fun for beginners, families and enduro bikers. The highlight is without a doubt the newly opened jump trail, which scores with its jumps perfectly adapted to the terrain and its diverse other elements. Also new are some additional enduro routes and an extension of the blue descents. The Preunegg Jet cable car transports the bikes up the mountain. Beginners are in the right place with the Reiteralm Junior Trails at the Preunegg Jet mountain station with their own rental and people mover. Right next to the valley station is the bike center with a large selection of bikes, helmets and other accessories.

Routes for families, amateur athletes, ambitious advanced and professionals on the Planai

In summer, the famous World Cup ski slopes on the Planai are transformed into trails in the Schladming bike park. Families, amateur athletes, ambitious advanced and also professionals can choose from 40 kilometers of routes of all difficulty levels. The gondola takes you to the start of the trail – including a magnificent view through the all-glass cable car cabin. In addition to the downhill trails for pros and routes for beginners, there has also been an easy version down to the valley since last year. The "Stadium Flowline", which was completely rebuilt, leads over waves and steep curves to the Planai finish stadium. 

27 tours for mountain and e-bikes, many bike & hike tours for all lovers of cycling and hiking, as well as 14 bike hotels attract numerous cyclists to the upper Ennstal in summer. The accommodations in the region are increasingly adapting to the great demand: Many of them offer special services, from locked bicycle storage to repair tools, washing and drying service for clothing to pick-up service in the event of breakdowns and their own tour guides.

By the way: Another trail park will be opening this summer between Weißenbach near Haus and Aich - the first of this very special kind in the German-speaking region. The particularly environmentally friendly construction of the trails and the narrow cycle paths result in varied routes that meander spectacularly through the trees.
