Sami Lorez Leaves Lenzerheide Bergbahnen

Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG and Samuel Lorez, Head of Technology and member of the management board, have agreed to end their cooperation by mutual consent at the end of August 2024. After 18 years with the mountain railways, Samuel Lorez would like to reorient himself and take on a new challenge.

Samuel Lorez made a valuable contribution to the company with his great commitment to technical development and maintenance. As a member of the management team, he has technical and personnel responsibility for up to 175 people in the areas of snowmaking, piste preparation, piste and rescue services, and facility management.

He was responsible for planning and coordinating work to maintain the infrastructure and important projects, such as the expansion of the snowmaking systems and the expansion of the fiber optic infrastructure. He was also involved in the construction of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area connection and the new construction of the Scharmoin and Mottahütte mountain restaurants. He promoted innovative projects, such as a central control system for the building services of the decentralized buildings, and supported many construction projects, particularly with regard to electrical issues.

The further development of photovoltaics at LBB and the modernization of the entire IT system were also important recent milestones in which he was involved.
