Rossignol’s Time Sport Cycles Launches New Altitude Frame Series In Partnership With Alpe d’Huez

Rossignol owned Time Sport has launched a new altitude frame series in partnership with the village of Alpe d’Huez

Time is excited to introduce the new frame project to the cycling community, continuing in the Time tradition of innovation and competitive excellence.

The new Alpe d'Huez range symbols a turning point in Time's history. After a period of transition into the Rossignol Group, we are proud to launch a new frame collection that marks the renewal of TIME, with an iconic name and mechanical characteristics never before reached.

We chose two strong model names for the launch of this new Altitude range: Alpe d'Huez 01 and Alpe d'Huez 21, echoing the 21 corners of this mythical climb. We are the only bike brand allowed to officially use these names, but also the only brand with a particular link with this village, as emblematic as are our bikes.

"The quality of Time bikes and their many victories are part of the history of cycling. Alpe d'Huez and Time both have a strong identity and common values: tradition, French know-how and upscale. We are proud to associate our name with this iconic brand, and this unique mountain bike." Jean-Yves Noyrey - Mayor Huez - Alpe d'Huez

The new Alpe d'Huez 01 is the lightest bike Time has ever developed. We developed a brand new frame structure which prioritized weight reduction while maintaining rigidity to ensure top performance on climbs.

We worked on the frame's weight, while improving the characteristics of strength, power and energy. This gives us a weight / rigidity ratio that is 30% higher than its predecessor, Izon.

Time is an ambitious company which remains true to its values, including high-end French know-how, and attention to those that enjoy the products we make. TIME’s exciting next chapter is just beginning in the world of cycling.

Over the past 30 years, Time Sport has garnered a reputation of innovation and excellence throughout the cycling world. Founded in the Rhône Alps region of France by Roland Cattin, Time Sport began with the patent of the industry’s first biomechanical clipless pedal before moving onto the manufacturing of high-performance carbon forks and frames in the early 90’s. Throughout this period, Time Sport has become an iconic global cycling brand with success at the highest levels of professional competition.
