Robbie Williams Opens the Season At Schladming-Dachstein

What a show! The first concert of the Ski Opening Schladming-Dachstein with world star Robbie Williams is history and it was an unforgettable concert evening. Nestled in the idyllic snowy backdrop, the spectacular stage offered space for a top-class line up. Tens of thousands of guests were there, and the first comments made us want more!

A sold-out stadium on Friday and more than ten thousand guests on Thursday: a total of 25,000 fans and ski enthusiasts rocked the Ski Opening Schladming-Dachstein 2023. When world star Robbie Williams is a guest in Schladming, then the celebrations are as big as it gets much is clear!

The Schladming basin was already shaking on Thursday - on Friday there was no stopping the sold-out Planai Stadium. A total of 25,000 guests over two days sang, danced and clapped to Nicotine, Chris Steger, Josh and of course the evening's favorite star: Robbie Williams! The entertainer performed everyone's favorite songs: “Angels”, “Feel”, an emotional “She's the One” and of course the obligatory “Let me entertain you”

From 6 p.m. onwards, NIKOTIN in a stylish leopard print coat and casual Falco style set the mood for a brilliant evening. Chris Steger followed with favorite songs to sing along to and at the latest with JOSH. the enthusiasm was perfect. Ö3 presenter Benny Hörtnagl led through the program and finally the time had come: Robbie Williams came on stage and, as a first-class showman, made the valley shake. Despite the sub-zero temperatures, the stadium was boiling - it was a concert to sing along to, dance along to and celebrate through and through.

Robbie Williams presented himself as a charmer and approachable star, interacting with fans and being up for a joke. “What is entertainment?” - Robbie Williams addressed this question directly to the crowd and pointed his finger at his chest. “The number one rule of entertaining is - you must love your audience. But instead of trying to explain, what entertaining is - why don't I show you!?" And with these words a show began that is second to none. Intoxicating, motivating, personal and thoroughly entertaining.

The unique stage in Schladming's Planai Stadium contributed its part to the atmosphere: 50 meters wide and built with around 500 tons of material, the stage is an eye-catcher in itself. 20 kilometers of cable were laid here, 300 spotlights were installed and over 150 square meters of LED area ensured a superlative stage show. Behind the stage, the snow-white piste sparkled into the picture - a backdrop that you don't see every day.

The two concerts with Robbie Williams on December 7th and 8th are the starting signal for a successful ski season with the best conditions. In the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region, guests will find a total of more than 230 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes on nine ski mountains and are sure to find their personal favorite slope. 81 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts as well as over 100 ski huts complete the uniquely diverse offering. The centerpiece is the Schladming 4-mountain ski area.
