Rab And Grangers: Forging A Strategic Partnership That Goes Beyond Ordinary

British outdoor brand Rab (owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd.) announces a strategic partnership with UK-based aftercare expert Grangers. As industry leaders in their fields, this partnership will bring together heritage, expertise, and a mutual commitment to a strong environmental agenda. Launching for Autumn/Winter 2025, the collaboration introduces Grangers Down Defend®, an innovative down treatment that redefines down performance in the harshest conditions.

The bluesign approved Grangers Down Defend is the result of a rigorous three-year development and testing process conducted jointly by the two partners. It is an at-source treatment made to clean and enhance the hydrophobic properties of down, thus maximising warmth, comfort, protection, and longevity.

Grangers Down Defend’s key performance highlights include:

· Exceeds 2,000 shake test minutes for recycled down and 15,000 shake test minutes for virgin down.

· Long-lasting effectiveness, maintaining insulation performance through up to 40 washes.

· bluesign approved and PFAS-free.

Grangers Down Defend will feature in Rab’s Autumn/Winter 2025 hydrophobic down styles and reinforces Rab’s long-standing reputation as Masters of Insulation.

As part of this partnership, Rab will also streamline its aftermarket Service Centre treatment offerings for both insulation and shell wash. This ensures that Rab customers can trust their gear to maintain peak performance in the harshest conditions throughout its whole life.
