Quiksilver Launches ‘Surf the Mountain’ Snow Collection
Quiksilver has officially launched its newest collection, Surf the Mountain, featuring the biggest names in snow, who have both designed and inspired a full collection of snow pieces. Travis Rice will be dropping a brand-new T.Rice signature jacket as a collaboration with Quiksilver, while Sammy Carlson, Mathieu Crépel and Bryan Fox all have new signature pieces inspired by the way they surf the mountains. The Surf the Mountain collection is all about showing that it doesn’t matter if you’re on skis or a board, a pro or a novice, as long as you’re having fun surfing the mountain.
Key pieces include:
- Travis Rice knows a thing or two about being cool, calm and comfortable in the mountains as he undertakes endless high-elevation endeavors, and momentum like that demands high-performance gear that is durable, lightweight and enhances mobility. Enter the T.Rice signature Highline Pro, designed with Rice’s specifications to create a highly technical, “everything you need and nothing you don’t” jacket that will keep the wearer comfortable and exceed expectations no matter the terrain or conditions. The collection includes the TR Stretch Jacket, TR Stretch Pant, Release Jacket, Beanie, TR Platinum backpack and TR Natural Gore-Tex Glove.
- Sammy Carlson is best known for his explosive backcountry skiing, and his off-season is spent surfing, so he’s always blurring the line between the mountain and the waves. This individual aesthetic has inspired the signature Black Alder Jacket, which is made with two layers of Gore-Tex stretch fabric for the biggest powder days and features an original tie-dye colorway. Carlson also wears the Altostratus Stretch Gore-Tex Bib, Routine Beanie and Steep Point Hoodie Fleece as part of his new collection.
- French phenomenon Mathieu Crépel is a hard man to keep up with — he’s constantly doing world-class halfpipes, big-mountain splitboard treks and more — so he has inspired a new Two-Layer Hiking Jacket and Pants. They are recycled and recyclable, providing performance that works on the mountain and for the environment.
- Bryan Fox continually shows off his savage ability to turn on a snowboard honed by an attention to detail. This timeless aesthetic was infused into two new pieces: the Forever Stretch Gore-Tex Jacket and the Altostratus Stretch Gore-Tex Bib.
Ninety-three percent of Quiksilver’s entire outerwear collection continues to be made with eco-friendly manufacturing processes and materials, such as recycled plastic bottles.
