About The Resorts
Niseko
Niseko, Hokkaido is the most popular Japan resort among worldwide skiers and guests. For powder lovers, Niseko Japan is the best pick for a ski holiday since it continually snows. Niseko suits skiers of all capacities. The runs are perfect for families, amateurs, intermediates. Both off-piste and outside the boundaries riding is allowed making it ideal for advanced and expert riders too. Niseko stands out from numerous Japanese ski resorts for its blend of both tree and alpine skiing. Niseko also provides some of the best bars and restaurants to ensure you enjoy yourself off the slopes too.
Furano
Located about an hour’s drive south of Asahikawa, Furano is one of Hokkaido’s bigger mountains, and its terrain caters for all levels with a good beginners area, long and cruisy on-piste runs for intermediates, and easy access to the side country. Furano has plenty of accommodation options, either in the village at the base of the lifts or a few minutes away in downtown Furano. This gives you a choice of hotels, pensions, and there are some new luxury self-contained apartments in the village.
Rusutsu
Rusutsu is a typical ski resort born of the 1980s ski boom in Japan; that is, a large ski resort with a large purpose built hotel at the base and very little else. Being only an hour bus ride from Niseko, Rusutsu shares its neighbour’s exceptional snowfall, however with smaller crowds.
