Provide To Ride Free Ride Day Food Donation Event Highlights A Week Of Happenings At Mt. Hood Meadows

Mt. Hood Meadows is shifting into high gear this week, with the night season lighting up Friday, December 16 and Park and Ride weekend and holiday shuttle transportation from Portland revving up Saturday and Sunday, December 17 and 18. With another huge La Niña storm dropping nearly two feet of snow the last two days, Meadows has a base area snow depth of 65 inches with seven feet at mid-mountain. It’s been a great start to the season as the resort prepares for the holiday period.

Provide to Ride Free Ride Day - Tuesday, December 13

Meadows is helping FISH - the Hood River Country Food Bank - collect food for needy families for the holidays. You can receive a free lift ticket to ride Tuesday, December 13, by bringing 24 cans of food or two hams to Meadows that day. Representatives from FISH will be on hand to collect the donations at designated drop off zones in the resort parking lots where the free ticket will be issued. A lift ticket can also be purchased in advance online for $40; $35 of which will go directly to FISH.

Explore Mt. Hood Experiences Packages Through December 18

Mt. Hood Meadows is offering specially priced Explore Mt. Hood skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snow shoeing experiences through December 18. These are customized experiences for those that would like to try an adventure on the snow. The alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross country ski experiences include equipment rentals, a two hour lesson and a beginner lift ticket or track fee for just $69. A two-hour guided snow shoe tour is just $35 (including the snow shoe rental). Experiences must be purchased online in advance at SkiHood.com/TryIt.

Coat Collection for The Next Door with pFriem - December 16 - 24

Mt. Hood Meadows is celebrating the season with pFriem family brewing, and what better way to celebrate than to warm the lives of families living in the Columbia River Gorge. Guests can drop off their coats in bins located at the Concierge and in the Sahale lodge. The coats will go the Hood River’s “The Next Door” to distribute to folks in need, a welcome relief during this colder La Niña winter.

Night Skiing Begins Friday, December 16

Meadows will extend its hours to 9 PM beginning Friday, December 16 and pFriem is fueling the celebration with a kick off party in the Sahale lodge from 6 - 8:30 PM. Once nights begin Meadows will operate on its regular schedule of 9 AM - 9 PM Wednesdays - Sundays and 9 AM - 4 PM Mondays and Tuesdays.

There’s an exclusive pFriem beer tasting event with seatings at 11 AM and 2 PM Saturday, December 17th. pFriem Family Brewers will be sampling their award-winning beers, and our own Chef Matthew and the Culinary Team will be serving up a delicious charcuterie buffet. Enjoy live music from the Funbloods during the beer-tasting experience. The cost is $39 with $5 of each ticket donated to The Next Door to support and empower people in the Hood River community.

Park and Ride Portland Shuttle begins Saturday, December 17

The weekend and holiday shuttle from Portland is ready to roll starting Saturday, December 17. Park and Ride provides three convenient Portland area stops in Tualatin, Beaverton and Gateway. The round trip ticket price is $39 and seats must be purchased in advance through the resort website.
