Pro Skier Chris Anthony To Be Inducted To The Colorado Snowsports Hall Of Fame
Chaos Headwear -- makers of high quality headwear in the U.S. and worldwide – are very pleased to announce the induction of Chris Anthony to the Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame.
Each year, the Hall of Fame elects four new Hall of Fame members and selects a Pioneer Hall of Fame member. As the name implies, the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame was created to honor “Coloradoans” who have contributed significantly to the sport and industry of skiing and snowboarding in the State of Colorado.

The accomplishments of the individual must have had a direct benefit to Colorado, whether through competition, by encouraging growth of the sport in the state or by exporting ideas, talent, techniques or products developed within the state that have national or international significance.
Residence in Colorado for at least 10 years is required to demonstrate lasting Colorado impact. Chris is a Colorado Native from Vail.
The program has served over 45,000 students since its inception as a non-profit in 2013.
For this calendar year of September 2017-18, the programs of the Chris Anthony Youth Initiative Project have reached 3,892 students.
The history of the school visits goes back 20 years, Chris Anthony originally partnered with Colorado Ski Country USA and later with Vail Resorts to support educational enrichment in local schools. In 2013, Chris Anthony partnered with the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center to create the Chris Anthony Youth Initiative Project (CYIP) and operate as a 501(c)3.
CYIP has engaged students through school visits, appearances and experiential programs outside the classroom. In total, over 80,000 students have been served.
Anthony also looks forward to bridging youth to the new indoor ski facility SNOBAHN, where he is an Ambassador. He will introduce kids from the city to this new indoor ski experience as part of a STEM education program he is progressively designing.
For the last 28 years, Anthony has traveled as a member of the Warren Miller Film Team, emceeing film events nationwide. Anthony also inspired the creation of the documentary "Climb to Glory, The Legends of the 10th Mountain Division” and is currently working on the sequel to this project.

The mission of the Chris Anthony Youth Initiative Project is to improve quality of life through introducing youth to educational enrichment opportunities in Arts, Athletics and Academics as well as providing financial support where needed. The Youth Initiative Project achieves this by providing educational tools that can be used to enhance the classroom experience, bringing mentors into the classroom, and bridging students to experiences beyond the classroom.
