Adventure lifestyle company POWDR today announced the hire of Stacey Hutchinson who will serve as Vice President of Communications & Government Affairs for the company. She brings with her over 17 years of experience in communications and public policy and will be instrumental in advocating for POWDR.
“It’s not often you find someone with the unique background that Stacey brings to POWDR,” said POWDR CEO Justin Sibley. “Having served in many high-level communications roles, coupled with her political acumen, she has the critical expertise we need to advance our priorities in a substantial way. We are excited to welcome Stacey to our team.”
Prior to joining POWDR, Hutchinson most recently was a principal at Monument Advocacy, a bi-coastal advocacy firm where she consulted on public relations and government affairs for top corporations and associations around the world. She was also the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce where she strategically developed programming and a communications strategy to showcase the benefits of emerging technologies. Hutchinson held senior communications roles on successful congressional and gubernatorial campaigns as well as serving in a similar capacity for the Minority Whip in the House of Representatives. In 2010, she served as press secretary to the governor of Virginia. Hutchinson also served as deputy chief of staff in the House of Representatives where she oversaw communications and legislative strategy.
Hutchinson commented, “I have had a life-long love affair with the mountains and skiing, so when this opportunity to work where I play came along, I couldn’t resist. I am eager to tell the POWDR story that is driven by strong values, a commitment to people, and the environment. It’s exciting to be part of a team that advocates for an industry focused on making people’s lives better.”
