Powder And Sushi – New Japan Adventure Launched By Action Outdoors
Action Outdoors – the tour operator best known for UCPA holidays to the French Alps, has launched its own ‘Adventure Tours’ for the upcoming winter season. The highlight is the Japanese adventure trip departing in January 2019.
The 7 day ski adventure will explore a different area each day, with 5 days based in-resort and 2 days ski touring in more remote areas. The focus of the trip will be to ski the deep powder snow conditions found on the northern island of Hokkaido.
Led by highly experienced Chamonix based Mountain Guide, Seb Cazorla – who has previously led many tours to Hokkaido, the trip is open to skiers who are already familiar with off-piste terrain and have spent several days ski touring.
The itinerary will see 5 days of off-piste guiding in, Kiroro, Yotei, Niseko Annupuri, Niseko Hirafu, Rusutsu, Kamui links and Asahidake or Furanodake, depending on the conditions.
David Robertson, Managing Director of Action Outdoors, said: “Japan is an iconic destination for powder snow skiing, having some of the world’s best snow that is guaranteed during January and February. Our itinerary takes in some lesser known resorts as well as the larger commercial centres, providing a real flavour for the country’s best skiing – and that’s before we start talking about the fantastic food.”
Dates: January 16-24, 2019
