Pizolbahnen AG: Major Project “Snowmaking 4.0” Developing According To Plan

The major project "Snowmaking 4.0" is developing according to plan and the next update is now in order: the work with the large machines on the reservoir has been completed. Many smaller work steps will now follow, which will be carried out by local businesses and the employees of the Pizolbahnen. The design of the low water area, which is financed by the "Pizol mit Herz" foundation, is also well advanced. With this gentle staging, another summer offer will be realized that will be harmoniously integrated into the high alpine landscape near the Pizolhütte.

At the same time, work is underway to expand the pipeline network. The final installations on the snowmaking and communication lines at the SAC lift are currently taking place. At the same time, work is underway on the last batch for this summer from Chalchofen upwards. If everything goes as planned, water can be channeled in all directions from the new lake for the first time in November, when technical snowmaking begins. The lake is now filling up continuously and will be at a good level by the end of November. Nevertheless, we are hoping for active and early support from Mother Nature to ensure that we have a high-quality range of slopes at the start of the season.
