PistenBully Prepared The Slopes Of The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach 2025 - Perfect Slopes Under All Conditions

Everything was perfect at the 2025 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm: perfect weather, enthusiastic audience, impressive top performances, successful and happy athletes. And a satisfied organization team that can look back on this major event with pride. An important basic requirement is that the race slopes can be relied upon. In order to guarantee consistently perfect slope conditions, the experienced professionals from Kässbohrer were chosen. As the "Official Supplier", Kässbohrer ensured professional preparation. For a mega-event that was successful across the board.

Eight PistenBullys were available before and during the competitions, including five PistenBully 800s. With their 612 hp, they are the most powerful snow groomers in the world. And at the same time the most efficient. The red powerhouses bring around a third more power to the slopes than any other. And at low speeds. That's why they are so economical. The result: less fuel consumption, less CO2.

"Races have been taking place here every day for 14 days - a ski slope has to be able to withstand that," explains Fritz Steger, slope manager for the 2025 Ski World Championships. "The right structure is crucial - and that starts with the snowmaking. The slope has to be designed correctly from the ground up to meet the athletes' requirements. The PistenBully 800 was just right for pushing. Its pushing power and climbing behavior are unbeatable. And the particularly steep sections of the track show what the ActiveWinch is all about: optimal steering in extreme environments, directional stability and therefore noticeable relief for the drivers."

Those responsible for the World Cup had booked the "all-round carefree package": In addition to the 8 snow groomers, snow blowers were provided, service technicians from Kässbohrer Austria were always on hand with spare parts, three drivers from the PRO ACADEMY team covered the team's back in Saalbach and supported them with the many demanding tasks. A PistenBully 100 was also available to ensure smooth parking and path management. This covered all potential emergencies. It was a good thing none occurred!

Christian Paar, Managing Director of Kässbohrer Austria, beams: "What a World Cup! We were once again involved in such a major event with joy and great pride: PistenBully was already there at the first World Cup in 1991 in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. We look back on a long, trusting journey and are delighted that we were able to contribute to a successful World Cup again this time: the best slopes, clean, perfectly groomed - it's great when you get confirmation of that from the athletes and the FIS experts!"

And all the better because Saalbach-Hinterglemm has decided to keep all the vehicles after the World Cup…
