Pistenbully Appoints Gilles Fournier New CEO Of Its French Subsidiary
Gilles FOURNIER will take over the general management of KÄSSBOHRER France.
Gilles FOURNIER, a name that rings in the ears of many people in the mountain world, as this Auvergne native has been traveling in the French mountain ranges almost his entire life. In his younger years, he was a member of the French national Nordic skiing team.
Gilles FOURNIER learned the demands and joys of high-performance sport before studying economics in Grenoble and then commerce and management at the École Supérieure de Commerce in Montpellier.
After graduating, he started his first job at Rossignol in 1996, where he discovered the art of business negotiation in the Nordic International department.
He was quickly discovered by the big names in the distribution of sports equipment and ski rental in the mountains, the Techniciens du Sport (TDS), now Twinner, for which he took over the position of mountain director and had the task of developing the network of sales points in the to look after ski areas. He would hold this position until 2012, but this time for the INTERSPORT Group after the Swiss retail giant took over the activities of its much smaller rival.
In 2012, Gilles FOURNIER began the third part of his career as head of the French branch of the Austrian Wintersteiger Group, known in the world of skiing for its innovative solutions.
Gilles FOURNIER was a high-performance athlete, ski instructor, sales manager and then general director in leading international mountain sports companies. His appointment as Director of KÄSSBOHRER France is a natural step in his professional career.
