The new headquarters of Kässbohrer Schweiz AG was inaugurated with an entertaining evening. The newly constructed building at the new location in Altdorf provides the optimal conditions for Kässbohrer to remain the leading service provider and distributor of snow groomers in the future while also being closer to customers.
Kickoff of the winter season
Kässbohrer Schweiz AG moved to Altdorf in the canton of Uri right on time for the start of the season. During an entertaining evening program, around 150 people, including numerous customers from Swiss ski resorts, got to know the new building in an especially festive atmosphere. The new workshop where the event took place is also the heart of the new building. The opening speech by Remo Bulgheroni (Managing Director of Kässbohrer Schweiz AG) and the welcoming addresses by Jens Rottmair (Board Spokesman of Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG), Urban Camenzind (Member of the Governing Council of Uri) and Urs Kälin (Mayor of Altdorf) underscore the importance of the relocation to Altdorf.
Central and convenient location in Altdorf
The move to Altdorf brings numerous improvements with it: Particularly, the good location in central Switzerland brings Kässbohrer closer to most of the ski resorts. This makes it possible to reach 70% of customers within a 2.5 hour drive. The new location is not only closer to the ski resorts, but also in close proximity to the main suppliers of the cable car industry.
The attractive location – not far from Lake Lucerne – also makes it easier to recruit new employees. Another central element of the new building is the modern logistics area. The high-bay warehouse that is connected to a Kardex storage system provides space for all relevant spare parts, allowing for the optimization of work processes. The internal operating procedures are also significantly optimized by the relocation. A shared office for the workshop, service and spare parts managers provides flexibility and allows for quick responses to open questions. With the new building in Altdorf, Kässbohrer Schweiz AG is now well equipped for the coming winter and is pleased to be even closer to its customers going forward.
With the introduction of the new spare parts online store, Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG is giving the ability to place orders even more quickly and with greater efficiency. The new online store can now also be used with mobile devices so that you can order parts whether standing right next to your vehicle or at the workshop.
Of course, proven aspects of the legacy store remain intact. These features include the logical ordering procedure and the spare parts documentation. However, the option to place orders using a tablet and similar devices is completely new. The up-to-date interface is easy to understand and intuitive – and extremely user friendly as a result. A big added plus for employees in workshops: You can give every single vehicle in your fleet a unique name that is specific to that ski area. Maybe you'll call one vehicle "Pistenbully 23" and another "Erika". The new search function lets you quickly roll up individual data for any vehicle in the fleet.
The new spare parts online store can be linked with SNOWsat Maintain, the digital maintenance management app. This direct communication enables the maintenance parts, for instance, to be ordered automatically as scheduled.
