Pilar Dalbat And Sierra Nevada Make History With The First Fashion Show At A Ski Resort In Spain.

A historic fashion show that marked a before and after in Spanish fashion, reaffirming the designer's commitment to innovation, culture, and sustainability.
From the very first moment, the event's atmosphere transported attendees to a world where fashion and nature intertwined in perfect harmony. The iconic 179-meter transparent tube, located in the heart of the ski resort, served as the runway for this collection, which successfully fused the classicism of haute couture with the freshness of contemporary après-ski.

Pilar Dalbat's relationship with the Sierra Nevada is deep and very personal; that connection has been the source of inspiration for a collection that not only celebrates fashion but also Granada's identity and heritage.

After more than two decades telling stories about Granada through its collections, this show marks a milestone for the brand. It is a tribute to the ski resort that witnessed her childhood and, at the same time, a commitment to the city's cultural future, supporting Granada's bid to be European Capital of Culture 2031.
The "Sierra Nevada" Winter 2026 collection is a natural evolution of Solynieve, the capsule presented at the last edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid in collaboration with Palito Dominguín. In this new installment, Pilar Dalbat expands her creative universe with 32 looks that reinterpret prêt-à-couture through technical fabrics, craftsmanship, and impeccable design.

Wraparound capes, structured coats, and jackets in mohair and silk are interspersed with hand-knitted pieces. Dalbat's signature dresses are reinterpreted in versions of roma knit, draped crêpe, and ethereal tulle, achieving a perfect balance between functionality and sophistication.

Color plays a fundamental role in the collection, with a palette ranging from pine green to snowy white, passing through lagoon blue, orange, and gold. The garments are decorated with hand-pleated stars reminiscent of snowflakes and crystal details that capture the light like the sun's reflection on our mountains.

The runway brought together renowned figures from the cultural and artistic world, such as Lucía Dominguín, Modesto Lomba, Lori Meyers, and Niños Mutantes, among others. We were also privileged to see Palito Dominguín, an iconic woman, muse, and figurehead of the Dalbat universe, on the red carpet. She brought the collection to life with her unmistakable elegance and personality.

The show was supported by key institutions such as the Ministry of Public Works of the Andalusian Regional Government, the Government Delegation in Granada, Granada City Council, the Provincial Council, the Tourist Board of the province, and the Granada Chamber of Commerce. Attending the presentation were authorities such as Vicente Azpitarte, Senator of the Kingdom of Spain; Rocío Díaz, Regional Minister of Public Works; Antonio Granados, Delegate of the Government of the Andalusian Regional Government in Granada; Marifrán Carazo, Mayor of Granada; and Marta Nievas, Deputy of the Tourism Board.

The entire Cetursa team was instrumental in making the fashion show at an altitude of 2,700 meters a success.

This event would not have been possible without the collaboration of the Meliá Group, a leader in the hotel sector, which was responsible for welcoming guests with a post-show kiss.

  • The Granada-based production company Curro Go was responsible for capturing every moment of the show and transforming the experience into unforgettable audiovisual material.
  • Silent System provided technological and immersive innovation, while Lone Lab provided sound production and MAOC provided musical direction. Together, they created a unique atmosphere that invited audiences to focus their attention and fully immerse themselves in the experience.
  • The International School of Protocol, the DyD School of Image, and Arkhé Cosmetics also contributed to this project.

With this show, Pilar Dalbat not only took her creative vision to new heights but also demonstrated that fashion is capable of engaging with its surroundings and generating unforgettable experiences. "Sierra Nevada" Winter 2026 is an ode to innovation, craftsmanship, and respect for nature, a collection that reaffirms the designer's commitment to her land and to the evolution of contemporary fashion.
