Perrine Laffont Set For Comeback On The Moguls Tour

After taking a year away from competition, the Queen of Moguls, Perrine Laffont, is ready to make her grand return to the FIS Freestyle Moguls World Cup. The French skiing sensation, who holds 30 World Cup victories, 9 crystal globes, 5 World Championships gold medals, and an Olympic gold from PyeongChang 2018, is gearing up for her highly anticipated comeback this season. Having taken a well-deserved break to recharge and focus on her training, Laffont is more motivated than ever to reclaim her place at the top of the sport.

Laffont shared her thoughts on returning to the tour, saying, "Taking last season off was the best decision for me. It gave me time to recover both mentally and physically, and now I’m hungry for competition again. I’ve missed the adrenaline, the fans, and being out there with my team. I feel stronger and more prepared than ever to fight for my place."

Laffont’s comeback couldn't come at a better time, as the 2024/25 moguls tour is set to be one of the most exciting seasons yet. Fans are eagerly awaiting the rivalry between Laffont and last season’s standout performer, Jakara Anthony. Anthony dominated the 2023/24 World Cup tour, winning an astonishing 14 competitions and sweeping all three moguls crystal globes. With Laffont back in the mix, the competition between these two titans promises to be fierce and thrilling.

As the reigning double World Champion, Laffont’s return adds another layer of excitement to an already jam-packed season. Fans across the globe will be tuning in to see if she can reclaim her title and challenge Anthony, setting up what could be one of the most intense rivalries in recent moguls history.

Perrine Laffont (born 28 October 1998) is a French mogul skier and the 2017 Dual Moguls world champion and moguls silver medalist. She won the gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in the moguls event, and was back-to-back overall winner of the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup in the 2018–19 and 2019–20 seasons.
