Perfect School Break On The Snowy Slopes Of Quebec

While our American neighbors have already started their school holidays, their turnout at Mont SUTTON undeniably confirms what everyone has been sharing for some time: the skiing conditions have been simply incredible since the beginning of the year and enjoying the slopes is more attractive than ever. Winter skiing; it's definitely in Sutton!

Now more than 5 meters of snow have fallen at the summit since the beginning of this season (501 cm and a light snow is still falling at the time of writing), making the current winter the best of the last 5 years, in terms of precipitation and traffic. Let it be said, however, that this great success and this ecstasy on the slopes are also the fruit of the dedication and passion of the teams.

Dedicated teams, Mother Nature's help and a varied program, the table is well set for a successful school break and endless outdoor fun, the mountain offering a special spring break program until Monday, March 17, as part of the American, Quebec and Ontario spring breaks still to come.

More sliding, more fun

With the many activities on the schedule, there is still time to register children aged 3 to 13 for the Spring Break Ski Camps to maximize their time skiing, learning and improving on the slopes, in 3 half-day format for the little ones and over four days for the older ones.

For parents, or for family lessons, the all-inclusive Initiations offer, including 1h30 of private lessons and equipment rental, allows a gentle and easy approach to enjoy the experience and only think about your next descent. Private lessons are also available for rusty skiers or those wishing to improve their technique.

The Sutton School of Skiing has a wide range of offers to meet everyone's needs. Introductory lessons are offered for skiing, snowboarding, but also for snowscoot and telemark, forms of skiing to discover, accessible from 8 years old.

Promotions for young and old

Holiday or skinusitis, a host of promotions are currently being offered in the mountains.

Starting with the 2nd Tuesday Tacos & Touring outing, this Tuesday, February 25, when the day's alpine hike will be offered at a 50% discount ($13 + taxes). The concept? Meet at the foot of the slopes when the chairlifts close for an express ascent by the slopes at 5:30 p.m. and finish at the Bar le Tucker for an après-ski at the exclusive Combo Tacos & Landshark! Note: no need to do the hike to enjoy the tacos!
The activity is open to everyone, but does not constitute a lesson. Participants must have their own equipment and be autonomous in their descent. Two other outings are still scheduled for the season and tickets can be purchased now!

To save on days of skiing and visit the mountain more often, the multi-day SUTTON Card offering 2 to 5 outings on the slopes, consecutive or not, can offer up to 28% off the ticket.

The afternoon only is also at a reduced price, while the last hour of skiing, starting at 3 p.m., is still $19 + taxes only. Access to the IIo chairlift, and to the Family Zone, also has a reduced-cost ticket, at $25 + taxes, to spend some time on the beginner-intermediate slopes of the west zone. And, the magic carpet, as well as tickets for 0-5 year olds, are always free at Mont SUTTON.

For an economical getaway, couples, friends, or families can opt for the Ski-dodo-ski package for nights nearby, during the week, including accommodation, breakfast and 1 and a half days of skiing! All this starting at only $124 + taxes per person in double occupancy.

Even more entertainment in the coming weeks

In the #PurementSUTTON photo contests that continue every week to win 2 day tickets, the weekly Treasure Hunts with gifts signed Mont SUTTON invite families to spot the clues left on the slopes and to register online to note their observations: draws on Fridays February 28, March 7 and 14!

A SKIientifique activity with Les Débrouillards will take place at the Main Chalet on Wednesday, March 5 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to demystify the secrets of winter, while budding acrobats are safely invited to a friendly Competition in the snow park on Friday, March 7 to test jumps and pirouettes.

The 3rd edition of the Défi skions tous ensemble of the Sutton Ski Club for the benefit of the Boulanger-Bédard Foundation encouraging the sporting and cultural development of young people in the region will take place on Saturday, March 15. A very simple concept: Give the curious a taste of the excitement of racing and reconnect the nostalgic with the pleasure of these timed descents, through a Glalom event!

Also still available, the yooner trial, a small fun sled on a ski, is offered at a low price for a 2-hour block on chairlift II. The limited quantities and the popularity of this exclusive Mont SUTTON downhill instrument make reservations highly recommended.

Furthermore, for the first time, intermediate skiers who wish to have assistance in alpine touring on the way up - to gain comfort with the equipment, the terrain and the technique - can find out about the new alpine touring guide service at the Ski School: a valuable tool for an easier climb!

As for them, free and available 7/7 days, the ambassador guides are also present to accompany visitors for free and personalize an experience in their image, according to the desires of exploring the slopes and undergrowth! The sculptures along the slopes will be worth noting in passing!

Not forgetting the après-ski

Friends, customers and fans of Tucker will be delighted as the skiers’ favourite bar celebrates its 18th anniversary this year, with a DJ, door prizes and discounts. A major après party not to be missed this week!

For the incorrigible 4 to 7s, Karaoke Wednesdays are added to the program of Open Mic Thursdays, Music Fridays and DJ Saturdays for the next 3 weeks.

The spring break season will end this year with the special après-ski on Monday, March 17th… celebrating St. Patrick's Day, Carlsberg in hand and happiness in heart on the Tucker terrace!

With the extent of these activities and to make the most of these magical conditions, there will be no other choice than to take out your mountain subscription! Everything is to be discovered at montsutton.com .
