Panda Optics And Inspire By Kim Launch Collaboration For The 2024/25 Season
British eyewear manufacturer Panda Optics has collaborated with author and illustrator Kimberley Kay on snowsport lens cover designs for the 2024/25 season.
Four bold designs from the snowsport artist best known for Ski A to Z - Illustrated Introduction to Skiing are being launched at the London Snow Show at ExCel this weekend. Visitors to the show can find them at Panda Optics at stand F32.
Oliver Heath, Panda Optics Managing Director, said: “With our latest restock of the Lens Guards, we wanted something unique. Having known Kim for several years, we’ve always loved her art, so the opportunity to collaborate on a project like this was great for both of us to have her wonderful designs on our products. They are the perfect accompaniment to our polarised snow goggles.”
“We carefully design and craft our lenses to be the best snowsports eyewear on the market, so protecting those lenses is key for our customers. Goggle lens covers stop the lenses getting scratched when the goggles are not being worn. We’re delighted to be able to now offer these protective covers in fun designs that will appeal to skiers and snowboarders.”
The lens covers featuring the four designs by Inspire by Kim are made from 100% recycled materials, they feel great and are designed to fit most goggles. The designs ‘Ski Chaos’, ‘Trees’, ‘Birds View’ and ‘Gondolas’ were painted in watercolours at Kim’s studio in Sheffield using the brand Inspire by Kim. The lens covers are an ideal gift or stocking filler for skiers and snowboarders; they are available now in the online shop at pandaoptics.co.uk
Kim said, “I love my Panda Optics Dual Vision goggles and am proud to wear goggles from a British company. I’m so looking forward to being able to wear my lens cover designs this coming season and it will be magic to spot them in resort. Thanks to Oli for this opportunity, here’s to a great season.”
