Ortholite Appoints Commercial Director For OrthoLite India
OrthoLite has appointed Pankaj Kumar as the commercial director for OrthoLite India (OIN).
“In this new role, Kumar will promote and expand OIN’s commercial activity with a focus on providing comfort solutions and delivering OrthoLite’s high standards to its global brand partners manufacturing in India,” the company stated in a media release.
The company said Kumar’s experience spans over 27 years working in sales and marketing, P&L management, strategic planning, business development, distribution channel management, trade promotion, and developing “innovative” business models.
“Throughout Pankaj’s career, he has delivered outstanding results with renowned organizations such as Coats, 3M and ICI,” said Vikash Bajargyan, general manager at OrthoLite India. “We look forward to the invaluable contributions he will make in his new role as commercial director at OrthoLite India.
Kumar joins the company in its newly expanded manufacturing facility in Ambur, Tamil Nadu, India, which the company reports “enables increased capacity to two million pairs of insoles per month and bolsters OrthoLite’s leatherwork capabilities as OIN is now fully equipped to make leather footbeds.” The new facility also “catalyzes local-for-local production and service, making OrthoLite India the largest insole manufacturer in South Asia.”
OrthoLite reported that of the company’s 500-plus global brand partners, 66 manufacture in India, and the region represents part of OrthoLite’s global production strategy to align its factories to service its local partners and T1s directly.
