One Way Ski Poles Impress At The Olympics

The Olympic flame of Beijing has been extinguished. ONE WAY played for the first time on the Olympic stage in a concert alongside the great performers, even directing the music occasionally. While winning a total of 24 medals overall, in the Biathlon alone 36.7% of medals were won with the fluorescent orange Premio 30 pole from ONE WAY. This puts the popular pole manufacturer right on the heels of its only real, successful competitor- even ahead of them at times, being the statistically most successful pole brand through the halfway point of these Games.

Right in the very first event of the Olympic Games, Teresa Stadlober of Austria ad her ONE WAY poles shined brightly up on the podium after taking the bronze out on the Skiathlon course.

Ten of the eleven Biathlon events saw ONE WAY athletes represent the brand on the medal podium. In the Mixed Relay, Olympic champion Tiril Eckhoff of Norway, silver medalists Julia Simon and Quentin Fillon Maillet of France, and Uliana Nigmatullina, Kristina Reztsova and Alexandr Loginov of Russia started the medal count off very strongly for ONE WAY. As the Games progressed, Quentin Fillon Maillet won gold in Individual and Pursuit, along with silver in Relay and Sprint. The sharpshooting, high speed skier proved to be the most industrious medal collector of the One Way Race Team. Norway’s Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen led his country’s Relay team to Olympic victory, then was rewarded for his masterful shooting performance in strong wind conditions with bronze, behind silver medalist Martin Ponsiluoma of Sweden.

On the women’s side, Tiril Eckhoff was the most successful athlete on the One Way Race Team, making a major contribution to the overall excellent results with gold in the Mixed Relay, silver in the Mass Start, and bronze in Pursuit. In the women’s Relay, Kristina Reztsova and Uliana Nigmatullina of Russia added silver, while Vanessa Voigt and Franziska Preuss of Germany added bronze to the impressive medal total. Italy’s Dorothea Wierer secured a much-desired individual medal with her Sprint bronze, while France’s Justine Braisaz-Bouchet put a final golden touch on ONE WAY’s highly successful Games as she easily earned the title of Olympic champion in the Mass Start, on the final day of Biathlon competitions in Beijing
