“One Evening, Five Chefs” - Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Board Invited Guests To The Third Edition

For the third time, the Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Board hosted the culinary event "One Evening, Five Chefs" yesterday (Tuesday, April 1). Under the motto "The Diversity of the Region on the Plate," around 90 guests at the Höflehner Nature and Wellness Hotel in Haus im Ennstal enjoyed a five-course tasting menu, including Styrian wine pairings from the STK Lackner Tinnacher Winery. This time, the region's star chefs also received female support: Lydia Schrempf from the Sattelberghütte in Ramsau served a traditional Miasl (traditional Austrian sauerkraut and sour cream ice cream) with pickled berries for dessert.

Warmth and genuine hospitality also characterized the third edition of the event series, which was relaunched last year. In addition to Richard Rauch and Lydia Schrempf, this time the hosts were Christian Spreitz (Natur- und Wellnesshotel Höflehner), Franz Danklmaier (GrafenWirt), and Sebastian Schrempf (Das Friedrich). The evening impressed with outstanding cuisine and exquisite wines, as well as a warm atmosphere and a sense of solidarity with the region.
The event featured culinary delights featuring numerous regional products from the "Schladming-Dachstein Gourmet Partners." The project leverages the region's diversity and connects direct marketers with restaurants and accommodation providers. Rye was supplied by the Neuper family (Ennstal flour) and lamb from the Percht herb farm. Dairy products came from the Engelhardthof organic farm, fish from the Waldauer family's Salzkammergut Edelwels, and highland beef from the Fürsterhof.
Raise awareness of local food
"Authentic regional cuisine with a focus on excellence is our key to positioning ourselves as an outstanding culinary destination in the Alps," emphasizes Mathias Schattleitner, Managing Director of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Board. "With the 'Alpine Culinary Arts by Richard Rauch' initiative, we have created a true flagship that combines the best of Styrian cuisine with Alpine flair. Furthermore, we want to sustainably raise awareness of local food and products among guests and locals. One way we achieve this is through high-quality evening events like this one."
Due to the great interest - the event was once again sold out - the fourth edition of "One Evening, Five Chefs" is already planned for September 16, 2025.
