OIA UK Outdoor Industry Awards 2023 Now Open!
The Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2023 UK Outdoor Industry Awards, which are now open to entries from brands across the industry until the 6th May 2023.
All the entries will, once again, be displayed at the Outdoor Trade Show 2023 which takes place from the 13th – 15th June at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool. At the show, a judging panel, comprising of experts from the outdoor industry which will include key journalists and retailers, will vote for the three finalists in each category. The finalists will be announced on the second day of the show 14th June 2023.
This year sees the introduction of a new ‘Sustainability’ category. Judges will be looking at innovation, functionality, use of materials and circularity in the life cycle of the product in their consideration of entries.
After the show the online public voting will commence to choose the winners in each category, from the finalist products, and the overall Product of the Year will also be announced. As in previous years we will work in conjunction with a variety of partners who will reach a wide variety of consumers in the outdoor spectrum to ensure a cross section of the outdoors. Partners will be announced shortly but will comprise a database of around 1 million opted-in consumers. The consumer voting will be open until 19th February 2024.
The judging panel will ratify the winners of all categories and from these, choose the overall Product of the Year 2023. The winners will be announced at the OIA AGM & Conference 2024 in front of 200 industry colleagues (March 2024 – date tbc).
Last year over 100 entries across the ten categories were received, with the panel of expert judges (including specialist outdoor retailers and journalists), eventually proclaiming Rab’s Mythic Ultra as the overall ‘product of the year’ at the OIA Conference in September 2022.
Prices start at £99 + VAT for 3+ entries for OIA members and/or OTS exhibitors and a single entry starts at £120 + VAT
