NZERO Nominated For The German Sustainability Award 2023
Since 2015, NZERO has been developing and delivering natural products to allow outdoor sports athletes of all abilities to deliver whilst protecting the environment around them. Sustainability is in our DNA. Now the company has been nominated for the German Sustainability Award for Sport - Germany's most prestigious award for ecological and social engagement.
The award honours outstanding efforts to bring about the transformation to a sustainable future and takes into account above all ecological and social aspects. It is seen as Europe’s greatest award for ecological and social commitment.

With a focus on sustainability and environmental care, NZERO WAX offers high-performance, high-quality solutions allowing sports practitioners, cyclists and skiers to take care of their equipment, their health and the planet at the same time.
NZERO’s advanced simulation and design work is called Green Tribology and it has lead to bio products that generate equivalent, or improved performance compared to their mineral based counterparts. This allows skiers and snowboarders, for the first time, to glide across snow without leaving petrol-chemicals behind, preserving plant life and drinking water. Cyclists are able to ride through countryside and streams without depositing non-biodegradable mineral-oil derivatives in nature. Sports practitioners, bike maintenance workers and professional ski waxers are protected against breathing-in toxic chemicals. Production of waxes, lubricants and cleaners becomes local with CO2 output reduced and the toxic emissions from traditional manufacture totally eliminated.
NZERO’s product range includes fully plant-based solid and liquid waxes for skiing, a bike chain lubricant that greatly exceeds the bio-mass requirements of its EU-ECOLABEL certification and an environmentally friendly degreaser.
Nominated in the “Sports” section, “Sporting goods, sports equipment and clothing category”. Other nominees in parallel categories include Euro 2024, RTL +, the German Ski Association, Messe Frankfurt and Olympiapark Munich GmbH, amongst others, NZERO are honoured to have been nominated for such a prestigious award.
