Now Open: Introducing Hotel De Len, Cortina d’Ampezzo

The new HOTEL de LEN has opened its doors after a major renovation of the historic Hotel Impero, located in the centre of Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites.

The architectural project was designed by the GRIS+DAINESE studio in Venice, which proposed a new structure in form and concept, connected with the surrounding area and paying particular attention to the environment and wellbeing of people. The project is based on the principles of sustainability and pays homage to the Ampezzo heritage, offering a contemporary experience which is deeply rooted within the land and history of its location.

The name, “De LEN” which means “of wood” in Ladin, the local language, underlines the attention to the traditions of the territory and refers to the main element of the architectural structure: wood, a sustainable and renewable material which also offers protection from unwanted noise, as well as atmospheric and electromagnetic pollution.

Open year-round, the property offers rooms with a contemporary design that is inspired by Alpine tradition. With 22 rooms in total, including suites, the rooms, with simple lines and modern design, are mainly decorated with wood, specifically pine, known for improving the quality of sleep, and old fir first patina, whose natural properties contribute to enhance the balance of body and mind

HOTEL de LEN features a spa on the top floor of the hotel, overlooking the mountains and valley, as well as a restaurant and a bar – both open to external guests – based on the Ampezzo traditions. De LEN Restaurant is characterised by ancient oak walls and ceilings, serving dishes using fresh mountain produce.

Book it: HOTEL de LEN offers rooms from €329 per night, based on two adults sharing a Superior room on a B&B basis. hoteldelen.it
