North Face Presents Circle Of Madness - Alaskan Playground Where The Patient Are Rewarded With Unbeatable Lines Beyond All Imagination.
Near-vertical runs, endless freeriding options and deep champagne powder. Alaska requires decades of experience to master the skill of freeriding big lines, reading the snow and carefully calculating the risk versus reward. This season, The North Face releases Circle Of Madness, a film that follows legends Victor De Le Rue and Markus Eder as they take on everything they’ve been dreaming of.

Circle of Madness shows the duality of once in a lifetime riding experiences with the reality of a winter expedition, where riders are often waiting out the weather more than riding. Balancing the down days for a true test in fortitude, at the mercy of nature.
If you’re patient enough, Alaska has a special snow quality that allows you to drop into extremely steep runs, with guaranteed heavy snowfall and humidity to form the nearly vertical spines and bluebird days to ride.
Measuring the conditions, weighing the risks with reward to guarentee the safety of the riders, each decision is made with years of expertise. But the pay off is more than just spines and unridden lines, Alaskan conditions give way to the craziest features, transitions, gaps, steepest landings you could ever imagine.
‘There’s so much funky stuff inbetween, and I love that stuff. That’s what my heart is beating for.’ – Markus
A true depiction of effort versus reward. Pushing to the top of each line, carrying gear and battling through waist deep snow. Alaska is natures playground, where the patient are gifted unbeatable lines, the freshest powder and snow days beyond their imagination.
‘When you’ve done all your dream lines, do you want to come back?’"– Victor
