Today The North Face launches the complete Ski Touring kit for your winter adventures. With maximum protection and minimum weight, this collection helps you to explore further, reach higher and experience more.

Engineered for the edge, the layering system designed specifically for ski touring provides unbeatable technologies woven together to keep you moving further for longer, keeping you warm, dry and moving freely.

New this year is the Balmenhorn FUTURELIGHT. This ultralight, seam-sealed shell is designed to balance waterproof protection with breathability on ski touring missions.

The ground-breaking breathable Dawn Turn insulation layer pairs a series of ultra-cosy synthetic insulation fibre-proof baffles with highly air-permeable face fabric. The 50/50 insulation, or synthetic insulation-filled baffles are equally interspersed to deliver enhanced breathable insulation and temperature regulation to keep you both warm and dry.

Finally the Dawn Turn Hybrid Ventrix™ midlayer is carefully body-mapped with perforations that open as you move, allowing perspiration to escape and remain closed in times of rest, to retain warmth.

The collection is brought to life through the lens of Chamonix-based photographer Mathis Dumas. He captured the Ski Tour products in the unique environment of Mount Etna (3,357m) in Sicily, a location that usually isn’t on the map for skiers. But the snows still come here – pitched against black, igneous rock, it forms a land of contrasts that is locked in an elemental battle of wind, fire and eruptions. Skiing in this extraordinary place is only accessible for those with skins on their skis and adventure on their mind.
