Nordic Ski World Cup Stops In Ramsau Am Dachstein
This year Ramsau am Dachstein is once again a fixed point in the FIS World Cup calendar for Nordic skiers. From December 15th to 17th, the combined athletes will stop here with two competitions each.

More than 100 athletes compete in the Styrian Ennstal for important World Cup points. There is an early Christmas present for all visitors to the competitions this year: You can not only experience the fascination of Nordic combined up close, but also with free admission.

The Austrian combined team around the Styrian Lisa Hirner, who was able to achieve a strong third place in Lillehammer last week, Johannes Lamparter, Stefan Rettenegger and the local hero and freshly crowned Austrian champion Franz Josef Rehrl want to compete in the exciting combination competitions with jumps from the hillsize -98 hill and the "Gundersen cross-country competitions" in pursuit right on top of the podium.

The cross-country skiing region of Ramsau am Dachstein has long established itself as a paradise for Nordic skiing. It is not for nothing that the town in the Styrian Ennstal is known as the "training center of the world elite". The best athletes from all over the world compete here year after year, and many of them have already completed numerous jumps and kilometers of cross-country trails in Ramsau during the preparations for the season.
Since yesterday, the three-day "Nordic Winter Opening" has been one of the largest opening events for hobby cross-country skiers in Austria. The Schladming-Dachstein holiday region offers cross-country skiers a total of 430 kilometers of trails. Families can look forward to many highlights such as a children's cross-country ski park or laser biathlon. New this year is the trail called "Rittisberg 1500" on the Ramsau Rittisberg.
