The Tirol Change Award is an annual award given by the Lebensraum Tirol Holding, Tirol Werbung, the Tirol location agency and the Tirol Agricultural Marketing Agency. In cooperation with an external jury, companies, initiatives or projects with exemplary and successful sustainable orientation were sought and evaluated.
“Living, doing business and researching with the precious Tyrolean nature leads to sustainable development in our country, in which the next generations have the same opportunities. That is why it is important to draw attention to positive examples of responsible business and sustainability and to learn from them, ”said Governor Günther Platter, pleased.
“We do business with her. We relax in it. It is our living space. And it has never been more important than now to put our alpine nature in the spotlight. With existing services and innovations for the future, Tyrol needs to be positioned much more strongly here. The successful examples of companies from all over Tyrol are motivation and inspiration for the whole country. That is why I am proud that together as a group we have managed to launch the Tirol Change Award, ”explains Josef Margreiter, Managing Director of Lebensraum Tirol Holding.
The design of life in the Alps and the sustainable use of resources are becoming increasingly important. With the rightly increased ecological focus, business in and with the alpine natural area is therefore the focus of the Tirol Change Award.
In cooperation with its subsidiaries, Lebensraum Tirol Holding is bringing special companies, projects, initiatives and people to the curtain for the first time this year. What unites everyone: They play a pioneering role and act as a role model for sustainability and responsible management. They contribute to the future viability of the Tyrolean economy, society and the environment and encourage the dissemination of sustainable change concepts.
Based on the criteria of sustainability, economy, innovative ability and internationality, the holding company, in cooperation with its subsidiaries and external experts, nominated eight flagship projects for the Tirol Change Award 2020: Zillertal beer, the Serfaus air track, the Alpbach congress center, M-Preis, Innio, Hollu as well as Höpperger. The selected companies will be presented in multimedia in both summer and autumn, both in print media and online channels, and should encourage other companies as well as Tyroleans to imitate them. The winner will be announced in November at the Tirol Change Summit in the Ötztal.
