It sounds a bit like the set-up for a promising day of skiing: a drag lift that leads up to the mountain to the new jump park and skill area. At the start there are no skiers, but bikers. Small bikers, beginners, but also cycling professionals - and everyone experiences a lot of fun and action in the new ObernDorf Trails (OD Trails). Because they will be available in Oberndorf / St. Johann in Tirol region from August 7th.

First drag lift for bikers

It is an ideal service especially for beginners: you can pull yourself up in Tyrol with the first bike drag lift. And that's very easy: When you get in, a hitch is placed on the handlebars of the bike and a holding tube is attached to the bike handle with your right hand while riding. When the hose is released, the hitch will also come off. And the bike pleasure can begin.

Jump, jump and jump again in the Jump Park: this is how the beginner becomes a bike hero
The OD Trails in the St. Johann in Tirol region offer ideal conditions for bikers who want to gradually improve their skills. The center of the new Trail Arena is the Jump Park. It belongs to the Green Line, the easiest route. With a length of 900 meters and 8.9 percent gradient, the line is ideal for getting a good feeling for your bike. The kids make their first perfect turns and find the center of their bike on bumps and scooters. With small success stories, the fun of sport is retained. If you feel safe on the Green Line, you can further increase from the blue to the red to the black trail.

The area for bike fans - the Black Uphill Trail
While you can train steeper sections on the Blue Line and the Red Line waits with bigger jumps and tight corners, you need a lot of bike experience for the Black Uphill Trail. Here you have to tackle hairpin bends, large stones, steps and wooden obstacles uphill. Cross-country riders and e-bikers can also test their limits here.

Train alongside professionals and get insider tips
The special thing about the terrain of the OD Trails is that all four trails can be connected to an absolutely top-class route. This cross country route is even suitable for the World Cup. So it may be that you train right next to international bike stars and can pick up one or the other tip. The mastermind behind this design is Kurt Exenberger, who founded the first mountain bike school in Austria after his career as a mountain bike and racing cyclist: “With the OD Trails we pick up mountain bike beginners with simple trails and the perfect ascent aid at their level and offer with a steady progression plenty of room for development up to the practiced park shredder. Even experienced downhillers, dirt bikers and enduro riders can have fun on the numerous difficult elements. Furthermore, with the Black Line, the Uphill Trail, we have created a conditional and technical challenge for cross country cracks and e-bikers. Thus, the OD Trails are the perfect practice and learning area for many skill levels. "

Opening times, prices and service with the Bike Wash
The park will be open from August 7th - the "Valle's Tauwiesenlift" drag lift operates from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00. A day ticket costs 23 euros for adults and 14 euros for children. During the week, the park can be used free of charge - without the lift. If you test the trails, it can get really dirty. This is also ensured: there is a washing station in which the bikes can be cleaned quickly and conveniently.

Attractive bike offers and a TrailCard
In addition to the new OD trails, there are other exciting offers for mountain bikers in the St. Johann in Tirol region, such as the single trail and a skill park. The Harschbichl Trail was built by renowned trail designers and guarantees an absolute driving pleasure with exciting passages and rapid steep curves. Of course, always with a view of the incomparable panorama of the Wilder Kaiser. To use the numerous single trails in the Kitzbüheler Alpen, it is practical to use the cable cars and lifts as a climbing aid. The Kitzbüheler Alpen Trail Card is ideal for this - it is valid for selected mountain railways in the immediate vicinity of the region's best trails.
