Natural Selection Tour To Stage Two Live Snowboarding Competition Days In 2025

Fans asked and the Natural Selection Tour is making it happen. This season, YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke will run with TWO full, live days of head-to-head competition from the dynamic terrain outside of Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s boundary in British Columbia, Canada. Both live competition days will be held during the March 10-17, 2025 window.

A crew led by Revelstoke-based, pro snowboarder Dustin Craven are working to expand the naturally-enhanced venue. The venue expansion ensures riders fresh landings and lines both days. Natural Selection’s innovative format is designed to reveal riders’ full creative expression and deep knowledge of all-mountain conditions.

“Hosting two live broadcast days will allow us to share all the action straight from the backcountry, as it happens,” said Carter Westfall, Natural Selection Tour CEO. “We’re planning to double-down on ways to bring the vibrant global and local community together throughout the week with events, programming and live broadcasts. Natural Selection’s goal is to connect people with Mother Nature by providing a platform where the most inspiring riders of our time can push the limits of the natural world. We can’t imagine a better place to do that than in Revelstoke.”

The season starts at YETI Natural Selection DUELS showcasing inspiring natural terrain and diverse rider styles. This year’s DUELS will be staged in six iconic mountain venues. Locations will be announced through the fall. In DUELS, 12 challengers from across the global snowboarding spectrum will compete for the six remaining rider spots available in Revelstoke; two for women and four for men. Full edits from each DUELS competition will stream globally in late February 2025.

Of the 24 riders convening in Revelstoke, 18 riders will have their tickets punched straight to the competition’s window opening on March 10, 2025. This includes the 12 riders who are invited through their performances at the 2024 YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke: Jamie Anderson (USA), Torgeir Bergrem (NOR), Mikey Ciccarelli (CAN), Jared Elston (USA), Marion Haerty (FRA), Torstein Horgmo (NOR), Sage Kotsenburg (USA), Hailey Langland (USA), Nils Mindnich (USA), Mary Rand (USA), Travis Rice (USA) and Austen Sweetin (USA). An additional six invited riders will be announced on Natural Selection social media throughout the winter. The six riders joining the Tour from DUELS will be announced as Natural Selection DUELs premiere starting in late February 2025.

Natural Selection Revelstoke will broadcast live, globally within the competition window, March 10-17, 2025. Mother Nature will select the optimal two days for the competition to run. Twenty-four riders drop into the naturally enhanced and feature-laden Revelstoke Mountain Resort venue.

The final 12 riders who make it through the first day of competition will earn their spot to drop into the finals for a second day of live snowboarding. The finals will culminate in the crowning of the men’s and women’s 2025 Natural Selection Tour champions.

Known by riders as the heart of interior BC for its diverse terrain and legendary snowfall, the Revelstoke area is a natural fit for Natural Selection. The Tour will also highlight and celebrate the authentic spirit of the Revelstoke mountain community with events supported by the Government of British Columbia Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport and Tourism Revelstoke and hosted by Revelstoke Mountain Resort with support from Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing.
