National Ski & Snowboard Retailers Association Refreshes Board Of Directors

The National Ski & Snowboard Retailers Association (NSSRA) added three new members to its board of directors at its recent meeting.
According to a news release, the specialty snow sport retailer trade association selected:
- Robb Shepherd of Shepherd & Schaller Sporting Goods in Wausau, Wisconsin, as board chair.
- Jon Morrill of Kittery Trading Post in Kittery, Maine, as vice chair.
- Stefan Hausberger of Zimmermanns Skis, Boards & More in Nashua, New Hampshire, as secretary/treasurer.
“Robb has been a tremendous asset to the NSSRA Board and we are excited to have him share his expertise with the ski and snowboard industry to lead NSSRA,” said Julie Pitts, NSSRA president, in a statement. “We are also looking forward to the perspective Matt Leonard will bring to the board to help ski and snowboard retailers.”
Each new member will serve two-year terms, which end in January 2027.
Tom Fuerst of Pedigree Ski Shop in White Plains, New York, remains on the board as past chair.
The board also includes:
- Gary Fleming of Winter Sports Retailers in Springfield, Massachusetts.
- Tyler Lockard, also of Winter Sports Retailers.
- Brad Nelson of HiTempo in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
- Phillip Howard of Troy’s Ski Lubbock in Lubbock, Texas.
Gordon Geiger of Geiger’s in Lakewood, Ohio, who has served on the NSSRA board since 2015, including as chair from 2019 to 2023, will conclude his service. He has joined the National Sporting Goods Association as its chairman of the board.
“NSSRA appreciates Gordon’s service, enthusiasm and ideas that have made an impact on the ski and snowboard industry,” Pitts said. “Gordon has been a valuable contributor and we are thrilled that he will continue to make an impact for the ski and snowboard and sporting goods industries.”
