National Ski & Snowboard Retailers Association Refreshes Board Of Directors

The National Ski & Snowboard Retailers Association (NSSRA) added three new members to its board of directors at its recent meeting.

According to a news release, the specialty snow sport retailer trade association selected:

“Robb has been a tremendous asset to the NSSRA Board and we are excited to have him share his expertise with the ski and snowboard industry to lead NSSRA,” said Julie Pitts, NSSRA president, in a statement. “We are also looking forward to the perspective Matt Leonard will bring to the board to help ski and snowboard retailers.”

Each new member will serve two-year terms, which end in January 2027.

Matt Leonard of Ski Country Sports of Banner Elk, North Carolina, was also elected as an at-large board member and will serve a three-year term through January 2028.

Tom Fuerst of Pedigree Ski Shop in White Plains, New York, remains on the board as past chair.

The board also includes:

Gordon Geiger of Geiger’s in Lakewood, Ohio, who has served on the NSSRA board since 2015, including as chair from 2019 to 2023, will conclude his service. He has joined the National Sporting Goods Association as its chairman of the board.

“NSSRA appreciates Gordon’s service, enthusiasm and ideas that have made an impact on the ski and snowboard industry,” Pitts said. “Gordon has been a valuable contributor and we are thrilled that he will continue to make an impact for the ski and snowboard and sporting goods industries.”
