Mt. Hood Skibowl Hosts Safety Fair To Promote Mountain Safety & Awareness

Mt. Hood Skibowl is proud to host a Safety Fair on Saturday, March 15, 2025, bringing together Mt. Hood Skibowl Ski Patrol, Mt. Hood Ski Patrol, and AirFlare to promote mountain safety and preparedness for all winter enthusiasts.

The Mt. Hood Skibowl Ski Patrol and Mt. Hood Ski Patrol will be on-site to share valuable safety tips and provide education on responsible skiing and riding. As advocates for on-mountain safety, they play a critical role in assisting guests and promoting a safer and more enjoyable experience for all.

AirFlare: An Added Layer of Safety for Outdoor Adventures

AirFlare, an innovative safety app that turns your phone into a rescue beacon, will also be at the event, offering a free trial subscription to all attendees. Skibowl Ski Patrol actively uses AirFlare’s technology to locate and assist guests in need, making it an essential safety tool for skiers, snowboarders, and all outdoor enthusiasts.

AirFlare’s peer-to-peer location-sharing capabilities provide an additional layer of safety by allowing friends and family to locate each other, even in areas with fleeting cell service. NSAA Responsibility Code Quiz & Grand Prize Giveaway

As part of the Safety Fair, AirFlare will host the NSAA Responsibility Code Quiz, testing guests’ knowledge of essential on-mountain safety guidelines. One lucky winner will receive a lifetime family subscription to AirFlare, ensuring peace of mind for all future outdoor adventures.

The Safety Fair will be presented at the West Side Base Area, in front of the Winwuwash building, from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM for this exciting and educational event.
