Mt. Hood Meadows Limits Number Of Spring Season Passes
While a winter storm rages - Mt. Hood Meadows announces it will have a Spring Pass again this season. A major winter storm has dropped 17 inches of snow in 48 hours - proving that winter is a long ways from over. Meadows has a 98 inch snow depth in the base area with 112 inches at mid-mountain fortifying the snowpack and assuring continued operations into May. And it's still snowing!
The Spring Pass makes a return to the slopes of Mt. Hood Meadows providing every day access for the rest of the season beginning March 21. This year the pass will not be restricted on weekends as it was last season, however, there will be only a limited amount offered, according to Meadows VP of Sales and Marketing Dave Tragethon. “We are excited to offer a limited number of Spring Passes for this season, especially considering that we paused all pass sales in early January. The Spring Pass will provide daily access (no restrictions on weekends) from March 21 through the end of our season. There are 40 scheduled days of operations - making the Spring Pass a tremendous value. That is why we will monitor and pause sales or adjust pricing if needed as part of our overall visitation management approach to forecasting turnout and enhancing the guest experience.”
SpringSational Events at Mt. Hood Meadows
The Spring Pass not only coincides with the first full day of Spring, but also with the SpringSational schedule of events that have been on hiatus for two seasons. As COVID restrictions lapse we look forward to gathering outdoors and celebrating the season together. Some would say just hanging at the Mazot on a sunny Spring day and soaking in the sunshine and views of Mt. Jefferson is an event in itself! Meadows SpringSatioal events range from the competitive Full Sail Banked Slalom snowboard race on April 2 - to the season ending Sno-Kona Pond Skim on our scheduled closing day of May 7. Along the way we’ll raise money for our Avy Dogs at Mazotfest (April 9); Celebrate diversity with Pride Day (April 16); raise funds for the Human Access Project at Suits and Boots (April 23); and showcase freestyle talent while supporting the Eagle Creek Fire Restoration fund with Ninkasi reVegetate (April 30 - May 1).
