Mountain Planet Focuses On Future Challenges
From April 16 to 18, 2024, ALPEXPO Grenoble in France will host the 26th edition of Mountain Planet, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Over the years, the trade show has been an essential meeting place for all mountain sector professionals worldwide.
For three days, various stakeholders from the mountain ecosystem will gather across 50,000 m2 of exhibition space. Here, mountain stakeholders and 40 international delegations seek information, products or services, new technologies, and solutions, as well as meeting, sharing experiences, and finding best practices for a positive environmental impact. Exhibitors, suppliers, or industrialists give central importance to sustainable development.
Mountain Planet will feature 70 events thanks to our wide array of speakers and international experts. As every year, the highly anticipated International Report on Snow and Mountain Tourism written by Laurent Vanat will be presented, cataloging and analyzing global data from over 2,000 resorts across 68 countries (investments, attendance, evolution of resorts, etc.).
The program also includes three panel discussions on various topics such as the superpowers of data, customer loyalty, the challenge of hyper-satisfaction, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), etc. This edition will recognize innovative companies, operators, and managers of ski areas and mountain territories in France or abroad with the Mountain Planet Trophies. Awards will be given in different categories such as mobility, biodiversity and sustainable development, digitalization and customer experience, diversification actions, and Tourism.
In 2024, Mountain Planet will further expand dedicated spaces with a startup village, transitions village (mobility, energy, water resources and waste management), sustainable construction and renovation village, and a drone village. To top it all off, the publication of Innovation Book #4 will be released. The magazine, launched in 2020, highlights inventions and trends that enable a better approach to the mountains of tomorrow, becoming an indispensable reference internationally.
