Mont Sainte-Anne Resort Official Launch Of Major Investment Project
Mont-Sainte-Anne, located on the Côte-de-Beaupré, will become an international-level year-round tourist destination.
The project begins with the implementation of a $100 million initiative dedicated to modernizing infrastructure and equipment, as well as developing complementary activities, over the next five years.
This modernization plan is made possible thanks to a $50 million investment from Mont-Sainte-Anne Resort and a $50 million contribution from the Government of Quebec, through Investissement Québec, which will be disbursed according to the progress of the work.
“We are proud to have the support of the Government of Quebec to carry out this large-scale project, which will bring significant economic benefits. These investments demonstrate our commitment to offering a world-class tourist experience, 12 months a year, that will attract visitors from all over the globe,” says Maxime Cretin, Vice President and General Manager for the East Region of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR).
Additionally, Mont-Sainte-Anne, in collaboration with its partners, will launch an ambitious commercial and real estate development project aimed at transforming the village at the base of the slopes. This project could generate additional investments of up to $450 million. It would include the creation of new public spaces, shops, restaurants, and a central plaza designed to host various events.
A Strong and Supported Recreational and Touristic Project
This project is the result of extensive consultations and sustained efforts from valuable regional partners. “From the beginning, we were able to rely on the sincere commitment of the business communities, the City of Beaupré, the Municipality of Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges, and the MRC of Côte-de-Beaupré. Their support has been essential since the outset of this initiative. On behalf of Mont-Sainte-Anne, I thank them,” adds Maxime Cretin.
Regional Economic Benefits of $140 Million per Year
The project to enhance the destination will have positive impacts across the Côte-de-Beaupré region and the Quebec metropolitan area. Thanks to this large-scale project, economic returns will increase by $80 million annually, for a total of $140 million per year.
