MND: Construction Work Resumes In The Pyrenees
MND continues to support the development of its customers in France with the construction of two strategic ski lifts confirming its ambitions on this mountain region which is being reshaped and modernised. for the 2023 season, a detachable 6-seater chairlift and a téléporté mixte will be put into operation in Saint-lary and Formiguères.
After the success of the “Espiaube” gondola lift and the “Tourette” chairlift commissioned last winter in Saint-Lary, MND is starting work on the “Forêt” detachable chairlift in the same area operated by Altiservice. Won in the contract signed in 2021, it is part of the largest cable transport investment in France for the last winter. This new lift will aim to streamline the customer journey and improve intra-resort connections.
In Formiguères, in the heart of Catalan Pyrenees Natural Park, the future Calmazeille téléporté mixte will replace the old fixed-grip chairlift. As backbone of the ski area, it will transport skiers and pedestrians from the bottom to the heart of the ski area at an altitude of 2096m. Open in winter and summer alike, this new solution will complete the 4-season offer of this mountain site.
Key elements in restructuring the flow of people in these two areas, these new lifts will offer faster, more comfortable and reliable connections.
