Mikaela Shiffrin’s Record-Setting Season Fuels Popularity Of #LEKISHIFFRINSELFIE Instagram Promotion
LEKI congratulates Mikaela Shiffrin on her most successful season yet on the 2018-19 Alpine skiing World Cup tour — most victories in a season (17); most career women’s slalom wins (40); only skier to claim the overall, super-G, giant slalom and slalom championship in one winter.
Along with Shiffrin’s success came great excitement and activity in race shops that carry the LEKI brand, thanks to the #LEKISHIFFRINSELFIE promotion. All season long, ski racing fans took selfies with the life-size Shiffrin display in their local race shops and posted on Instagram with the hashtag #LEKISHIFFRINSELFIE. Every time Shiffrin landed on the podium, a #LEKISHIFFRINSELFIE winner was selected to receive $250 worth of LEKI gear and the race shop they tagged received a $250 LEKI credit. Seventeen lucky winners took home race gear this season.

Since Shiffrin was at the top of the leader board and took home a Crystal Globe, previous winners were automatically entered into a grand prize drawing to receive another $500 in LEKI gear, a signed Mikaela Shiffrin LEKI Carbon Shin Guard and the race shop awarded a season ending pizza party compliments of LEKI.
