Meredith Harrop Named Vice President Of Lodging For Sunday River Resort
After an extensive nationwide candidate search, Meredith Harrop was recently named Vice President of Lodging at Sunday River Resort. Harrop joins the resort's leadership team with 19 years of experience at Sunday River. In this role, she oversees operations of the resort's Grand Summit and Jordan Hotels, the Snow Cap Inn and Youth Lodge, owner services for the hotel Home Owners Associations, and the Jordan Spa, and acts as General Manager for the Jordan Hotel. Harrop is now one of five female leaders serving on the resort's senior management team.
Since 2001, Harrop has held several roles within the resort's SnowSports School, most recently serving as Assistant Director, where she cultivated an inclusive and friendly environment for all ski and snowboard students and team members. Her work experience also includes a role as Business Director for a sailing charter company in Rhode Island. Harrop is a graduate of Bates College, and lives in Newry, Maine, with her husband and three children.
"Meredith has been instrumental in Sunday River's success with teaching skiing and snowboarding," says Brian Heon, resort General Manager. "I have no doubt that she will channel what she's learned from a guest service and operational perspective for a seamless transition into the lodging division of the resort."
Sunday River, including its lodging properties, is now open for ski season with many adjustments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
