Marco Odermatt Gets His Personal Ski Slope
The Titlis Bergbahnen has dedicated a personal ski slope to Marco Odermatt. With this gesture they congratulate the three-time overall World Cup winner on his outstanding achievements in the 2023/2024 season and thank them for the long-standing partnership.
Together with his father Wati Odermatt and CEO Norbert Patt of the Titlis Bergbahnen, the top skier from Nidwalden inaugurated the “Marco-Odermatt-Piste Rotegg” last Friday.
This steep descent is located at Rotstöckli, the highest peak in the canton of Nidwalden, and leads from the Titlis glacier down to Stand station. The challenging nature of the black piste, previously known as Rotegg, perfectly reflects Marco's intrepid spirit and skiing skills.
The symbolic inaugural ski trip was a moving and meaningful gesture for everyone involved. Norbert Patt commented on this special moment as follows: “It is an honor to set up a piste for Marco Odermatt on the border of the cantons of Nidwalden and Obwalden. Marco is undoubtedly one of the best athletes and ambassadors in our region. This dedication is a sign of our recognition for his achievements in skiing and should serve as an inspiration for future generations."
Marco Odermatt has been the Titlis Bergbahnen brand ambassador since 2019. As an aspiring young skier and student at the Swiss Sports Middle School in Engelberg, Marco Odermatt trained regularly on the Titlis and took part in races.
