Mammut Highlights Products To Help Adventurers Stay Safe In The Snow

Safety has never been so comfortable and lightweight. Highlights for this ski season from Mammut are three products packed with technical features to help adventurers stay safe in the snow, whilst maximising comfort and ecological sustainabilty.

NEW Pro X Removable Airbag 3.0 (35L): A comfortable daysack whose technical features meet every possible safety requirement; whether snow touring or freeriding for the day. The Pro X is a reliable all-rounder which raises the bar for safety features combined with practicality and comfort. The fully opening rear zip allows generous access to the main compartment, even with a snowboard attached. The main material is completely recycled and a moulded soft-lined internal compartment is specifically designed for goggles.

NEW Ultralight Removable Airbag 3.0 (20L):The lightest airbag system ever developed by Mammut, weighing the same as a litre of water. Small and ultra-lightweight yet ultra-reliable, Mammut drew on the expertise of the automative industry to design an airbag balloon that is extremely robust. Described by Pro Team Freerider, JérémieHeitz as: "A very versatile backpack that is suitable for a wide variety of tours. I took this backpack along on every tour for my "La Liste" project. It is light, comfortable and has enough space to hold equipment and spare clothing, even with the airbag."

Alugator Light(Available in newcolours): Mammut’s lightest ever avalanche shovel, weighing just 475g, and capable of packing down comfortably into almost any freeride backpack. Tilt resistant, sharpened blade made of robust anodisedaluminium with a symmetrical handle for efficient power transmission. Its telescopic handle has been redesigned with an oval profile - making it even tougher than before. Complies with current safety standards and capabilities

Mammut advises creating a detailed tour plan before heading out the door - including studying avalanche reports, weather forecasts and maps, and selecting the route. Asituative assessment on site is essential for any freerider. A full set of avalanche safety equipment is another basic requirement, as is the ability to use it correctly through training and regular practice.

Mammut continues to focus its manufacturing decisions on sustainable, responsible production values. Choosing to use recycled materials wherever possible whilst retaining an incredibly high requirement for function, performance and safety. Minimising footprint, and breaking down the entire life cycle of products, focusing on reducing water and chemical use and consumption, as well as energy and greenhouse gas use.
