Lift Problems For Timberline & Red Lodge Mountain
Both Timberline Lodge and Red Lodge Mopuntain have issued statements on liuft problems. They say:
Red Lodge Mountain: Cole Creek Quad Chair shutdown Statement:
An inspection by our lift maintenance team revealed that we need to replace a part within the lift terminal structure. The part is not readily available, so we are having it manufactured this week. Once installed, we will run several tests to ensure the part is functioning properly and that there are no other mechanical concerns with the operation of the lift. We hope to have the lift running by this coming weekend and apologize for any inconvenience.
Cole Creek terrain accessible from Grizzly Peak Drifter gate is still open (Drifter, Latigo, Hellroaring, Lower Buckin' Chute). Since the lift is not spinning, you can exit via Sidesaddle (back to the top of Triple) or Meeteetse Trail (back to Palisades).
Fun fact: You can get all 2400' of our vertical drop in one run from Grizzly Peak to Palisades via the current open Cole Creek terrain and Meeteetse Trail!
Timberline Lodge Statement: Due to a gear box failure, Bruno’s chair is closed for the season.
Unfortunately, the issue cannot be fixed quickly. Repairs will be made this summer and it will be ready to run in the fall. The Timberline Timber Tiger conveyor, plus all Summit Pass has to offer, will continue to service ski and snowboard lessons and our beginner guests. We are sorry for a little shorter season on Bruno’s. On the positive side, there is almost no impact to available terrain, spring skiing conditions are fantastic, and there is snow in the forecast.
