Les Gets Specialist Chalets 1066 Appoints Ski Press To Run UK & Ireland PR
Les Gets based British run chalet accommodation specialists, Chalets 1066, has appointed Ski Press to manage its UK and Ireland PR campaign during the 2021-22 winter season.
- Chalets 1066 was established in 2008 and has been operating exclusively in Les Gets ever since.
- The owners and the staff live and work in Les Gets all year round. Their detailed knowledge of the resort is without any doubt, greater than any other chalet operator in Les Gets.
- There’s over 40 properties with over 300 beds in total.
- During the Covid pandemic, the business operated normally (with additional Covid measures in place) and is, and has been, in a strong financial position throughout this period.
- The company prides itself on three main pillars of service: Choice, quality and value. All of these elements can be demonstrated clearly and transparently.
The largest operator in the French resort, one of the closest to major Alpine airport hub of Geneva, is expanding its accommodation offering following strong bookings throughout the Covid pandemic. With over forty chalets offering in excess of 300 beds, its dominant position in the resort means it can offer customers a fully tailored experience for their ski holidays.
Leading the way in the evolving ‘build your own’ chalet holiday experience, Chalets 1066 has developed a strong network of partners that deliver premium services to each of its properties based on guest’s needs and desires. This includes meal deliveries, professional in-chalet chefs, ski and snowboard equipment hire and morning breakfast delivery.
Chalets 1066 has also developed and implemented some of the industry’s leading technology solutions, including an online reservations system that specifically tailors the guest experience, app based chalet manuals, RFID tags on linen, and the first intelligent chalet/hotel maintenance app in France.
Mark Nathan, Managing Director of Chalets 1066, said: “We’ve continued to operate throughout the Covid pandemic period, serving mostly French guests that demand greater flexibility with their accommodation. Because of this we have developed our offering even further and as British guests now want the same things, we find ourselves in a strong position to deliver a fully tailored experience to them, wherever they are from. We’re looking forward to welcoming back skiers and snowboarders from the UK and we want to communicate what we do and how we do it to our core target audience. Engaging in the media is extremely important and we are excited about doing that with the help of Ski Press. We hope to see many journalists here in Les Gets this winter”.
Rob Stewart, PR Director of Ski Press, said: “When visiting Les Gets last summer I was incredibly impressed by the scale and quality of the Chalets 1066 offering. Les Gets is a destination that I’ve been going to for over 25 years and to have the chance to work with the resort’s leading operator is a fantastic opportunity. We are looking forward to sharing the news about Chalets 1066’s plans, launches and activities, as well as helping journalists experience that for themselves”.
