Les Arcs Releases New Video - Summit Run ‘when Sporting Prowess Meets Poetry’

Last winter Les Arcs released the movie Flat Summit, in which Matthias Dandois, the multi-champion from the world of BMX Flat performed his skills at 3226m altitude on a frozen slippery platform. Les Arcs wanted to showcase the aesthetics of the mountains and of sport at the same time.

For 2020 Les Arcs have launched a new video – Summit Run- featuring mountain bike legend Yannick Granieri and freeride skier Léo Slemett.

One early morning in February, the 2017 Freeride World Tour Champion Leo Slemett and MTB legend Yannick Granieri set off to climb to the top of the resort on their e-bikes (with Yannick towing Leo after a while!).

On a beautiful day the two of them climbed almost 1500m on freshly groomed slopes. Starting at 2000m they climbed to the top of the Aiguille Rouge at 3226m in the Les Arcs ski area.

Then for the descent! With Yannick on his bike and Leo on his skis, Yannick reached 93km/h with Leo just behind him. They then decided to visit Les Arcs’ snowpark which recently played host to a national big air championships. All in all a high speed descent in the beautiful mountains.

The clip is breathtaking and showcases the Les Arcs ski area in a different light. even getting a glimpse of the atmosphere at the new Folie Douce.
