The new Bike Kingdom Lenzerheide will open its doors when the cable cars in Arosa Lenzerheide start operating. The holiday region Lenzerheide starts a new bike era with this cross-destination brand, whereby the topic of mountain biking gains the size and importance that has been worked towards in recent years. With new trails, a series of new events such as the Bike Kingdom Feast and a new app, the new Bike Kingdom of the Graubünden Alps more than lives up to its name.

"After almost two years of planning, it is a big moment for all of us when it finally starts on Saturday," says Marc Schlüssel, Head of Marketing at Lenzerheide Marketing and Support AG. Already at the Rothorn parking lot, visitors are given a visual highlight, the new target drop in the Lenzerheide bike park, surprised. These two oversized BK letters are being completed these days. In addition, there are the new trail marks for the trail highlights, which not only serve as orientation, but also come royally and make the bike experience something very special.
The center of the new bike kingdom is and remains the Lenzerheide bike park, which has always been one of the most popular bike parks in Switzerland. With five lines from the blue FLOWline to the black STRAIGHTline, on which the Downhill World Cup will be held again this year, there is something for all levels of bikers. Even more gravity fun is waiting right next door in the Alpenbikepark Chur, where you can also "shred" to your heart's content on the local mountain Brambrüesch. The Bike Kingdom does not only consist of the two bike parks in Lenzerheide and Chur, but also of a total of six regions that extend to Arosa or the Albula Valley. In the regions Bear Mountains (Arosa), Red Peak (east side Lenzerheide), Western Summits (west side Lenzerheide), Southern Delights (Lenzerheide towards Albula Valley), Steep trees (from Parpan to Chur and Tschiertschen) and The Capital (Chur) want to discover a total of more than 900 kilometers of single trails and technical delicacies. New trails such as the “Top Fops” single trail, which connects the June hut with the Alp Fops (location of Danny MacAskill's legendary “Home of Trails” video), the flowy “The Pipe” or the “Urdenfürggli Twister”, which is close Sweeping and leading to the Mottahütte with a magnificent view are just a few of the novelties that invite you to bike in the areas of the Bike Kingdom. The Bike Kingdom Lenzerheide would not be a real kingdom without appropriate festivals and tournaments. From September 4 to 6, 2020, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will kick off with a triple header from downhill, cross country and short track in the Lenzerheide bike park. Local hero and reigning world champion as well as overall World Cup winner Nino Schurter can start the title hunt for the first time this year on the “Nino's Gold Trail by ÖKK” dedicated to him. The annual bike test event testRIDE will take place from September 11th to 13th, 2020. During the test weekend, the latest mountain bikes, road bikes, trekking bikes, e-bikes and components can be tested as usual and lots of bike clothes and accessories can be tried on. ith the Bike Kingdom app, the kingdom is expanded by a digital dimension that offers much more than just route planning. A variety of different challenges await in the app, which are spread across the entire Bike Kingdom and whose successful participation is rewarded royally. Every rider can intervene in the kingdom's fortunes via the clan membership - billing takes place at the end of the season. With the start of the season, the roughly one-week test phase begins, during which a selected group of bikers put the app through its paces. The official release of the app is scheduled for June 16, 2020, but it will be available for download.
