Lech Bergbahnen AG - New Momentum For 2024/25 Winter Season

Lech Bergbahnen AG is starting its first winter season after the merger with many innovations that reflect the new corporate design and sustainability. Guests can look forward to events in the Balmalp, Rud-Alpe and the Schlegelkopf Restaurant.

The winter season in Lech Zürs am Arlberg started on December 4th: In order to create the optimal basis, Lech Bergbahnen AG invested in 32 new snow guns from Supersnow, which have been in use since mid-November. These are around 40 percent more energy efficient and, in gold to match the company colors, are a real eye-catcher, just like the new piste machines, which also shine in the "Lech Edition look". One of them has been standing in front of the valley station of the Schlegelkopf cable car for the past few weeks and has become a popular photo subject for walkers. Prinoth's piste machines are equipped with a snow depth measurement system, which the entire Lech Bergbahnen AG fleet is gradually being upgraded with. "This allows us to make snow with pinpoint accuracy and save machine hours," says Klaus Nußbaumer, CEO of Lech Bergbahnen AG, explaining the advantages.

A third of the 33 avalanche guards have already been equipped with a new control system for this season. This means that the slopes can be secured more quickly and thus opened earlier. This is ideal for those who love untouched slopes and don't want to miss the early start of the Long Train on Wednesday, which starts at 7.30 a.m. and ends with a champagne breakfast. But there is also enough to discover on the mountain for non-skiers, such as the Snowflake Panorama Trail, the 360-degree viewing platform or the Friday fondue evening. If you prefer something more exclusive, you should treat yourself to a ride on the Moët & Chandon champagne gondola. Beforehand, you can pamper yourself in the new Moët & Chandon salon, and afterwards we recommend a trip to the Balmalp sun terrace. Here, too, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain landscape.

That's not all: in future, the company's employees will welcome guests in their black and gold team clothing. This means they are dressed in line with Ski Arlberg's corporate design. New LED screens have been installed at the entrances to the lift facilities. Thanks to these, guests can be informed even more quickly and see live images. In addition, the Lech Snowpark on the Schlegelkopf will be built by Christmas in collaboration with the Young Mountain company. Lech Bergbahnen AG has invested in new rails, boxes, kickers and fun elements. The first events this winter will take place on the Rud-Alpe (December 20th), in the Schlegelkopf Restaurant (December 21st) and on the Balmalp (December 22nd). Mont Collectif DJs Lisana, Chris Kent and Momentum will be playing from 10 a.m.

Lech Bergbahnen AG was created from the merger of Skilifte Lech, Ing. Bildstein GmbH, Rüfikopf-Seilbahn AG and Rud-alpe Gastronomie GmbH. In addition to the 14 cable cars, the company also owns the four mountain restaurants Balmalp, Rud-Alpe, Rüfikopf Panoramarestaurant and Schlegelkopf Restaurant, as well as the new Bistro Mila in the center of Lech, next to the Rüfikopf valley station. Lech Bergbahnen AG employs around 230 people in winter and 100 in summer, of which 66 are currently employed full-time.
