Lech and Rufikopf Ski Lifts: A New Era In The Cradle Of Snow Sports

The Skilifte Lech Ing. Bildstein GmbH (SSL) and the Rüfikopf Seilbahn AG (Rüfibahn) are planning a merger of the two largest ski lift companies in Lech. The merger of the two successful companies and their affiliated companies is the first step in a fundamental restructuring and releases new forces for the future-oriented development of the entire destination.

In a joint cooperation project with the managing directors and representatives of the shareholders of SSL and the supervisory board of Rüfibahn, as well as Seillifte Oberlech and Roter Schrofen KG, those responsible worked together with experts on the form, shareholding structures and personnel issues of the newly created mountain railway company. In the next few weeks, the project will be presented to the shareholders of SLL and Rüfibahn shareholders. At the merger meetings of the two companies in July 2023, the resolutions on the merger and founding of the new "Lech Bergbahnen AG" should then be taken.

If the partners and shareholders agree to the merger, it will be a milestone and herald a new era in the renowned destination. At the same time, those responsible see this as just the first step in a fundamental restructuring of the mountain railway structures in Lech, which today still consist of a large number of individual (mostly smaller) ski lift companies that cooperate in a tariff association.

In connection with the restructuring of the two largest Lech companies, the Supervisory Board will also be reshuffled and a new Executive Board appointed. The members of the management board are also determined, in some cases proven management staff can be used. The position of the new board / CEO will be advertised in the next few days.
