Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis Selects Liftopia Cloud Store For Dynamic Pricing & E-Commerce
Liftopia is excited to announce its first partnership in France with Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis, an expansive ski resort located in the French Alps. By partnering with Liftopia, Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis becomes the first ski resort in France to introduce a dynamic pricing model for lift tickets, with the goal of regaining control of its ticketing and marketing strategy. Val Cenis looks forward to moving away from “flash sales” and “last-minute” discounts utilized in prior seasons.
Not only is Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis the first resort in France to implement demand-based dynamic pricing, they are also Liftopia’s first Cloud Store partner in France. “We are proud to work Val Cenis as our first partner in France,” says Dave Madden, Vice President of Sales at Liftopia. “They are innovative, collaborative and provide an amazing skiing experience. We couldn’t ask for a better partner in the region, and are confident they will be the first of many.”
While some resorts have hesitated to implement dynamic pricing in fear of consumer adoption, this is not the case for Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis. “Customers are used to dynamic prices from other industries. They will adopt this new strategy easily,” says Yves Dimier, Director of Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis ski area . Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis has a supporting marketing campaign planned with the message “1 Day – 1 Deal! Book! Save” to educate consumers to buy their lift tickets in advance.
“By implementing an advanced purchase strategy for our lift tickets, we can take control of our rates during the season and afford ourselves greater operational predictability,” says Yves. “Using data from Liftopia, we’ll have a better understanding of expected attendance, allowing us to prepare the resort for the best possible guest experience.”
Liftopia’s initial success partnering with Arosa Lenzerheide beginning in the 2017/2018 ski season has attracted interest from resorts across Europe looking to shift towards dynamic pricing and increased pre-sales. Liftopia has a proven track record, working with over 100+ ski resorts and attractions around the world.
“The choice of Liftopia’s dynamic pricing, including the principle to reward advance purchase, has been quite obvious for us. Liftopia’s solution will allow us to continue our process of constant innovation and become the first French ski area to offer dynamic pricing to its customers”, added Jérôme Estienne, Commercial Manager at Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis
